It is one of many similar scenes across the county today, as a series of roads have become impassible.

One Debenham resident said the aptly named Water Lane, which always floods, was a scene of the problem, although other roads in the village such as Winston Road remain flood free.

A section of Suffolk’s major road has also been closed off.
