Two experienced landlords have taken over a Suffolk pub, promising a community feel and the best roast dinners in the area.

The Maldon Grey in Great Cornard, near Sudbury is now being run by partnership Jay Evans and Dan Wagg who have both run a pub together previously.

In a Facebook post they said they will both be found behind the bar ‘with a smile to welcome old and new customers’.

The post continued: “Expect new events, more quizzes, the best roasts in Sudbury and a summer of events to make sure there is something for the whole family too, right on your doorstep.

“We hope you will pop in and say hello. Whether for a crisp cold pint, a tasty cup of coffee and cake, a luscious lunch or a delicious dinner - you are always welcome.”

The previous landlords of the pub Tony and Beckie Bayliss announced they were leaving the business in October 2023.
