Landlords of The Maldon Grey, near Sudbury, announce departure from pub after two years in business
The landlords of a village pub have announced they will be leaving their business, as they hinted at an ‘exciting’ new chapter ahead.
Tony and Beckie Bayliss, who run The Maldon Grey, in Cats Lane, Great Conard, near Sudbury, have taken to social media to reveal they will be moving on from the pub.
The couple, who have over 20 years of experience in hospitality, took over the pub two years ago, after running a number of other pubs in the area.
They shared the departure news in a Facebook post, thanking customers for their support.
“We want to take a moment to express our deepest gratitude to each and every one of you for your unwavering support throughout our incredible journey at The Maldon Grey,” they said in the social media statement.
“It is with a heavy heart that we announce our departure from this beloved establishment. However, as they say, all good things must come to an end.
“But rest assured, this is merely the closing of one chapter and the beginning of a remarkable new adventure for Spectre Leisure.
“We want to personally thank you for being a part of our story, for your loyal patronage, and for making The Maldon Grey a thriving community.”
However, this is not the end of adventure for the couple, as they have also said they have more exciting news to share in the future.
“We are thrilled to share that big announcements are just around the corner,” the statement added.
“Stay tuned, for we will soon reveal the next chapter in our journey.
“We promise to deliver extraordinary experiences, unparalleled entertainment, and more unforgettable memories to cherish.”
