Abbeygate Cinema, in Bury St Edmunds, is holding a discount day to kick off the Easter holidays

Cinema tickets at a bargain price are on offer at a Bury St Edmunds cinema on Saturday.

The Abbeygate Cinema, in Hatter Street, is holding a discount day selling tickets for £5, with members' tickets costing £3.

Meanwhile, a large popcorn will cost £3 and a house wine will also be £3.

Gareth Boggis, Abbeygate general manager, said: "We totally appreciate the worry that comes at the break up of schools and the search for affordable family fun.

"This Saturday sees new releases at a price that makes them unmissable. Our family ticket prices are already the cheapest in town, but we hope this will see full screens for some amazing films."
