Cartoonist John Elson casts his eye over the week's news

The New Year is almost here and many readers will be making resolutions, including taking part in 'Dry January', and Bury Free Press cartoonist John Elson, of course, has his own take on this.
The subjects of John's cartoon don't look too keen on the idea!
Here's his view:
John, a self-taught artist, has been drawing cartoons for newspapers for nearly 20 years.
He draws the cartoons digitally using a stylus and large art tablet. His cartoon today is sponsored by specialist insurers The Assist Group.
He also attends festivals, weddings and corporate events drawing live caricatures.
