A14 reopened outside Kentford near Newmarket after crash which stopped traffic

Traffic is moving again on a major route outside a Suffolk village after it stopped due to a two-vehicle crash this morning.

Police were called at 7.30am to the incident at the A14 westbound between junction 39 and junction 38 outside Kentford and Needham Street, near Newmarket.

A spokesperson for Suffolk Police said officers were at the scene with three fire engines also in attendance, including one from Newmarket and two from Bury St Edmunds.

According to the AA traffic map, traffic is now moving normally in the area.
