Person dies after being hit by train as services at Brandon railway station cancelled
A person has died after they were hit by a train causing services at Brandon railway station near Thetford to be cancelled.
Greater Anglia confirmed that it is unable to run services between Norwich and Cambridge, which includes Brandon station, as a result of the incident.
A spokesperson for British Transport Police said: "Officers were called to the line in Suton at 10.12am following reports of a casualty on the tracks.
"Paramedics also attended however sadly a person has been pronounced dead at the scene.
"Officers are now working to identify the person and inform their family.
"The incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner."
Greater Anglia has organised rail replacement buses to run between Ely and Norwich to help members of the public complete their journey.
