Our Bury St Edmunds launches festive Christmas trail which could win you a prize
A musical Christmas trail has been launched in Bury St Edmunds - which could also lead to a prize.
The Quizmas Lyric Trail will run in the town centre during December and is designed to test people's festive musical knowledge.
It's been launched by Our Bury St Edmunds in partnership with the LoyalFree app, and people can win £50 gift cards by taking part.
“We are excited to bring this free, fun interactive festive trail to Bury St Edmunds," said Mike Kirkham, Our Bury St Edmunds marketing and business support officer.
"This a great way for family and friends to enjoy the Our Bury St Edmunds fabulous Christmas Lights and decorations and discover the many stunningly decorated shop windows as they complete the trail.”
The interactive trail invites participants to stop at different town centre locations where they will find lyrics to famous festive songs, but with some of the words missing.
'Singing' your way around the trail is encouraged and people need to scan QR codes, or ‘check-in’ at the locations to reveal the answers.
Those who take part will be entered into a prize draw to win one of three £50 Bury St Edmunds Gift Cards.
"The more QR codes scanned, the more chances of winning. Can you guess this one? “It’s the most wonderful time of the year. With the kids jingle belling and everyone telling you______," added Mike Kirkham.
LoyalFree’s partnerships manager, Sophie Carrick added: “We are delighted to offer this new interactive trail and hope to bring people together during the festive season.
"This trail provides a free opportunity for friends and family to spend quality time together while getting out and about, discovering a variety of different businesses while exploring the area.”
