Bury St Edmunds Chloe Interiors is a dream come true for Aida

An interior designer has seen her dream come true after opening a new a luxury homeware shop.

Aida Hysenaj launched Chloe Interiors in Out Northgate, Bury St Edmunds, last Saturday – and was overwhelmed by support.

“I invited family and friends to the launch but so many people came along I couldn’t give them any attention,” said Aida.

“Everyone was in love with the items and said this is just what is missing from Bury.”

Aida, who lives in the town, launched the shop following the success of her website, of the same name, which she founded two years ago.

After studying finance and later, interior design, she launched the site selling mainly lighting and accessories.

However, after spotting a vacant shop space, just off Northgate roundabout, last August, she decided to take the plunge.

“I then spent the next few months making trips to suppliers across Europe, including the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and Turkey to source products,” said Aida.

“I went on day trips to make sure I liked the stock. As a result of linking with 10 suppliers, I now have access to thousands of top of range products.

“In the shop we have lots on display including dining tables, drinks cabinets, tables, and many accessories including chandeliers, lighting, and ornaments. We also have carpets from Turkey and have linked up with a company in the UK which makes bespoke sofas.”

Aida describes the style as elegant, modern chic, and prices, she says, are ‘mid range’.

“I had the idea for the original website because people who visited my house always liked the style. I have always loved design and before all of this I also had a shop selling clothes I designed for young girls.”

Other items at the shop include vases, statues, mirrors, desks, kitchen accessories and decorative games. Aida called the shop Chloe Interiors having liked the name since she was a teenager.

“When I was young, I always wanted a daughter called Chloe. Then when I did have children, I had two boys first.

“When our third child came along, a girl, we decided to call her Hannah. So when I started the business, it was natural to call it Chloe Interiors, my new baby.”

The shop is running a 20 per cent offer until February 14.

It has parking at the front and Aida is also happy to help customers through interior design consultancy.
