University of Suffolk invites social enterprise organisations to partner with them to provide new food and drink facilities on campus
Social enterprise organisations are being invited to partner with the University of Suffolk and its Students’ Union to provide new food and drink facilities on campus.
New or existing enterprises and Community Interest Companies are being invited to express their interest in providing a dedicated space for students, staff and visitors, with the potential to open the offer to the wider local community.
Interested parties must submit an expression of interest by May 31 which should include the financial sustainability of their business model; how their proposal will support the broader interests of the University community, with a particular focus on the student experience; and how students might be able to be involved, such as hosting events or job opportunities.
Tim Greenacre, University of Suffolk chief operating officer, said: “As the university continues to grow, we are looking for a partner who will not only create a fantastic space for students to meet and socialise which supports their student experience, but also aligns with ours and the Students’ Union’s mission and values.”
Jumara Stone of the University of Suffolk Students’ Union said: “We are very excited by the opportunity to work closely with a local community interest company to help shape the offer for our students that will not only include a new place to socialise but could also host many of our SU and student-led events.”
