Firefighters from Thetford, East Harling and Mildenhall assist with building blaze in Brandon
Firefighters remain at the scene of a house fire in Brandon which started during the early hours of this morning.
Four fire crews, from Brandon, Thetford, East Harling and Mildenhall, were alerted to Gas House Drove 4.24am.
A spokesman for Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service said the fire was contained to the first floor of the property.
The East of England Ambulance Service was also present.
The spokesman said all people in the building were accounted for and there were no reports of casualties.
Firefighters used four pieces of breathing equipment and two hose reel jets to fight the flames.
One engine remains at the scene
A spokesman for the East of England Ambulance Service said eight people at the scene were assessed for the effects of breathing in smoke.
Two ambulances and an ambulance officer were called to the incident.
No one required hospital treatment, he added.
