Elmswell firefighters rescue woman in electric wheelchair stuck in mud in Old Stowmarket Road, Woolpit, near Bury St Edmunds

Firefighters helped rescue a woman in an electric wheelchair who was stuck in mud this morning.

Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service was alerted at 8.06am to Old Stowmarket Road, in Woolpit.

One engine from Elmswell attended.

The crew freed the woman from the mud.

The incident was dealt with by 8.25am.
