Firefighters called to electricity pole fire at back of property in Ixworth, near Bury St Edmunds

Firefighters extinguished a fire involving an electricity pole in a village in the early hours.

Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service was alerted at 3.36am to the incident at the back of a property in Thetford Road, Ixworth.

A crew from Ixworth extinguished the fire.

UK Power Networks was also called to attend the incident.

It was dealt with by 5.24am.
