Sudbury building fire sparks arson appeal by Suffolk Police





A building fire at a property in Sudbury has sparked an arson investigation and a police appeal.

The incident occurred between 7.30am and 8am this morning, at a flat in Minden Road.

Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service attended and extinguished the blaze and evacuated residents of other flats in the building. The targeted flat was unoccupied at the time of the fire.

A full investigation into the cause will now take place, but it is currently believed items were placed through the letterbox and deliberately set alight, causing damage to the door and internal walls.
