Lowestoft unexplained death after man collapses in the street

Police have been at the scene of an unexplained death overnight, after a man collapsed in the street in Lowestoft.

A man - believed to be aged in his 40s – was found collapsed in Katwijk Way at around 11.45pm and despite the best efforts of police and paramedics, he died at the scene.

An area of Katwijk Road was cordoned off until 5am while police enquiries were completed.

The death is currently being treated at unexplained, but there are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances.

The family of the man have been informed, and a file will now be completed for the coroner.
