Adam Peaty OBE visits Stonam Aspal’s retail and leisure park
Champion swimmer and gold medal accumulator Adam Peaty OBE, has paid a trip to a leisure and retail park to visit a Jacuzzi retailer.
The 50m and 100m breaststroke world record holder, who has amassed 32 gold medals during his career, visited Hot Tub Village at Stonham Barns Park on Friday, visiting its swim spa centre.
While there, he gave some lucky local children one to one coaching sessions and encouraged others to take up the sport for improved physical and mental health.
“As a Jacuzzi ambassador, retail partner visits are one of the most enjoyable aspects of my role,” said the three-time Olympic champion.
“It gives me the opportunity to support local swimmers and inspire the next generation with one-to-one lessons.
“This equipment plays an integral role in my training and health and seeing young swimmers first hand having fun and benefitting from the swim spas is hugely rewarding and reinforces what I do.”
After their coaching session with the swimming legend, the children posed questions for him.
As a young boy, Adam Peaty was afraid of water until the age of four – when he went with a friend to swimming lessons and has since built a career within the sport.

An eight-time world champion, Mr Peaty took his first Olympic gold medal in the 100m breaststroke at the 2016 Summer Olympics - the first by a male British swimmer in 24 years.
He retained the title at the 2020 Summer Olympics, and is the holder of the world record in 50m and 100m breaststroke events, and is unbeaten in either event in a long-course global championships since 2014.
He has broken world records 14 times, becoming the first man to swim under 26 seconds for the 50m breaststroke and the first to swim the 100m under both 58 and 57 seconds.
