Burston railway crossing incident sees death of one person with emergency services on the scene





British Transport Police have confirmed that one person has died at an incident at a railways crossing in Burston.

Emergency services, including ambulances, fire crews and police were called to the crossing at Audley End at around 2.40pm this afternoon.

One casualty was reported as having been on the tracks, which run between Norwich and Diss.

Paramedics pronounced an individual as having died at the scene.

The incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.

Disruptions to rail services on the line are ongoing.
