Trampoline hits car in Princess Street Haverhill as tidy up is on the way following Storm Henk
A tidy up is on the way in Haverhill after Storm Henk wrecked havoc yesterday.
Trees were brought down, power lines in the town and the surrounding areas were affected – and even a trampoline was blown across the street and hit a car.
Hundreds of homes continue to remain without electricity, and many residents will not have power restored until later on this afternoon.
Flood alerts are still in place for much of the county, with run-off from rivers potentially affecting towns such as Stowmarket, Hadleigh and Bury St Edmunds.
A new weather warning has been issued as more heavy rain is expected to hit the county.
As Storm Henk battered the county, a number of roads were closed throughout the day due to flooding or blocked by fallen trees due to high winds.
Suffolk Highways has said that it received more than 100 reports of fallen trees across Suffolk.
It continues to attend incidents, with motorists being warned to take care when driving.
