Body discovered in search of missing Mildenhall woman Erin Hunnisett

Police searching for a missing 38-year-old woman from a Suffolk town have discovered a body.

Erin Hunnisett, was last seen in Brandon Road, Mildenhall, at about 8.40am on Sunday, December 31.

The body was found by search teams in an area north of Brandon Road, shortly after 12pm today.

While the body hasn’t yet been formally identified, the family of Ms Hunnisett have been informed.

The death is being treated as unexplained at this time but officers do not currently believe there are any suspicious circumstances.

Police had been supported by Suffolk Lowland Search and Rescue (SULSAR) in their search of the area and had also asked residents and road users to check CCTV footage, smart doorbells and dash cameras.

A file is set to be prepared for the coroner in due course.
