Man dies on A14 between Needham Market and Claydon, near Ipswich, after medical incident





A man has died following a medical incident on the A14 yesterday.

Emergency services were called at about 3.10pm on Tuesday to the incident near to junction 52, between Claydon and Needham Market, on the westbound carriageway.

A spokesperson for the East of England Ambulance Service confirmed a man has died.

They said: “An ambulance, a rapid response vehicle and an ambulance officer vehicle were sent to the scene.

“Sadly, despite the best efforts of medical crews, the patient was pronounced dead at the scene.”

Both the ambulance and police service attended and the route heading westbound was closed, before it was then cleared at about 4.45pm.
