Wood-fired pizza pod, R & H Pizza Bar, launches to bring Suffolk residents a taste of Italy

Pizza lovers can now experience a taste of Italy as a new mobile business comes to Suffolk.

Grace Carlin, 32, of Framlingham, has decided to make her passion for food and drink a reality by opening up a mobile pizza and bar business.

R & H Pizza Bar, which officially launched last week, will bring Neapolitan-style pizzas to Suffolk residents.

The salmon orange pod, which was named after Grace’s two young sons Ralph and Hugo, will also serve locally-sourced alcohol including gin, prosecco, beer and cider, while non-alcoholic options are also on the menu.

For the mom-of-two, this was something she wanted to do since she was a teenager.

Grace said: “I always wanted to do something in catering since the age of 13, when I started working in a pub. I absolutely loved it.

“When I was in my 20s, I used to make pizzas at a restaurant in Woodbridge.

“But my career has led me down different paths over the years. I’ve done hospitality for about 10 years and then I went into selling houses.

“Now that I had my children, I decided the time is right to open up my own business.”

In the future, Grace said she hopes she can get more pods on the road.
