Saxmundham’s High Street to remain shut for hours after crash

Motorists have been warned after a road in Saxmundham is closed after a crash – and could remain shut for a few hours.

Officers were alerted to High Street at about 10.45am following reports of a crash near the junction with Station Approach.

Heavy traffic has been reported in the area and drivers face heavy delays.

A spokesman for Suffolk Police said the route could remain shut for several hours.

However, he confirmed no one had been injured in the crash.

Drivers have been warned to seek alternate routes and to allow more time on their journeys.
