Unexpected power cuts affecting homes in villages outside Stowmarket and Framlingham

Several unexpected power cuts are affecting hundreds of homes across Suffolk amidst Storm Pia today.

UK Power Networks are investigating the cuts in two different areas of the county, with over 365 customers in a number of separate postcodes affected.

Outside Stowmarket, in the postcode areas of IP14 3 and IP30 0 in villages such as Haughley and Onehouse, over 200 customers have been impacted by an unexpected power cut.

According to the UK Power Networks website, it’s estimated that power will be back on between 1.30pm and 2.30pm today.

Postcodes beginning with IP13 8, IP13 9, IP17 2, in villages near Framlingham, including Badingham and Brundish, have also seen a number of people without power today.

Power is expected to return between 1pm and 2pm for those affected.
