An Ipswich resident has been charged with attempted robbery after a man entered a shop and threatened a worker.
Mark Ely, 55, of Milton Street, has been charged with attempted robbery, two counts of theft, criminal damage and possession of cannabis.
This follows an incident yesterday, in which a man entered the Premier shop in Reynolds Road, Ipswich.
The man filled his pockets with merchandise, before threatening a shop worker.
He damaged the store's door, then fled the scene.
Ely was due to appear before Suffolk Magistrates’ Court this morning.
