Foxhall Road, in Ipswich, closed for two weeks due to sinkhole Anglian Water confirms

Anglian Water has apologised for disruption caused by sewer repairs on a busy town street, following the discovery of a sinkhole.

A road closure is currently in place in Foxhall Road, Ipswich, as teams from the water company work on fixing the sewer.

A spokeswoman for Anglian Water said: “We are sorry for any disruption to road users on Foxhall Road today.”

She continued: “We have needed to close the road and put a full diversion in place to enable us to repair a sewer which had caused a sinkhole in the road.

“Our teams are on site and are working hard to fix the sewer as quickly as we can.

“As this is a complex repair, we’re expecting the road to be closed for about two weeks.

“We’re grateful to customers and road users for their patience while we carry out this essential work and once again, we apologise for any inconvenience caused.”
