Walsham-le-Willows to host White Ensign and Mildenhall Town to visit Romford in Isuzu FA Vase third round





Walsham-le-Willows and Mildenhall Town have found out their opponents for the third round of the Isuzu FA Vase after the draw was made earlier today.

Chay Budd and Ian Hubbard’s Walsham have earnt a home tie against White Ensign who ply their trade in the Essex Senior League Premier Division.

The Willows made history on Saturday as they beat Eynesbury Rovers 4-0 away from home to reach this stage of the competition for the first time in the club’s history.

Goals from Jack Brame, Ethan Garcia, Sam Nunn and Charlie Norman capped off a historic day for the Thurlow Nunn League Premier Division outfit.

As for fellow Premier Division side Mildenhall Town, they have been dealt an away tie at Romford in the next round – who currently sit third-placed in the Essex Senior League Premier Division.

Phil Weaver’s men battled well on Saturday to beat St. Panteleimon 1-0 away from home thanks to a first half strike from Callum Anderson.

The ties are set to take place on Saturday December 2.

Elsewhere, Needham Market Women made history yesterday as they progressed to the Women’s FA Cup second round for the first time in their history with a dramatic 4-3 win away at Dussindale & Hellesdon.

They have been drawn away to West Brom Women which is scheduled to take place on Sunday November 26.

The Marketwomen found themselves 3-1 down at the weekend with just 15 minutes remaining but levelled the tie to make it 3-3 in the ninth minute of stoppage time through Molly Hall.

Then in the 11th minute of added time, Sheryce Slater’s header won the contest at the death to spark jubilation on the pitch.
