What can I do to prevent a fall?

  • Check your footwear
  • Have a review of medication with your GP, some medication can make you feel dizzy and it’s important for this to be checked
  • Eat well. Make sure you have enough energy to keep up your strength
  • Drink well. Becoming de-hydrated can lead you to feeling lightheaded which can increase you risk of falling
  • Check your sight. Eye tests are recommended to be completed every 2 years. Poor vision can lead to loss of balance and co-ordination

See a Physiotherapist as soon as possible…
