Find out more about a career in the NHS
A hospital trust is hosting an online event for those thinking of a career in the NHS.
West Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust (WSFT) is running the free virtual event on Saturday.
It will provide a chance to ask any questions you may have about NHS job roles and enable you to gain a deeper insight into the important work that NHS staff do on a daily basis.
The NHS employs staff in IT, facilities and education along with the more traditional healthcare positions - and there are more than 350 different specialties across the NHS.
Rachel Grimwood, the event leader, said: "The Covid-19 pandemic really demonstrated how vital the NHS is to all our lives.
"There is no better way to support it than becoming part of the team - whether that is dealing with patients face to face or in more behind-the-scenes roles that are crucial to making sure our clinicians can do their jobs."
During this event, multiple professionals will also provide guidance and give advice about what to expect during the application process.
Rachel added: "Our virtual session will feature talks on the diverse NHS roles available and how you can prepare for an interview when applying for an NHS job."
The free, all-day online event takes place on Saturday, May 7, from 9am to 4pm. To attend, email rachel.grimwood@wsh.nhs.uk to book your place.
