Cemetery in Oxford Close, Great Cornard, near Sudbury, vandalised over Christmas period
Vandals have caused chaos at a Suffolk cemetery by running a vehicle over graves, damaging headstones and destroying Christmas ornaments.
The incident happened at the cemetery in Oxford Close, Great Cornard, near Sudbury, over the Christmas period between Friday, December 22 and Wednesday, December 27.
An unknown vehicle entered the grounds and churned up the grass over eight graves.
Those involved in the criminal damage then destroyed Christmas ornaments left by loved ones and also damaged headstones.
Various plot posts allocated to the graves were also moved and the incident has caused distress to those visiting the cemetery.
Suffolk Police are now looking for further information and anyone who knows who was responsible can get in touch by quoting the crime number 37/856/24.
