Theft and assault incident at Leiston Co-op, in Sizewell Road, leaves man with cuts and bruises

A man suffered cuts and bruises after an assault and theft at a Suffolk town supermarket.
The incident was at the Co-op in Sizewell Road, Leiston, near Southwold, on December 27, 2023, at around 3.15pm.
A man entered the store and took some items, and approximately 15 minutes later he assaulted another man, in his 40s, causing the cuts and bruises.
A 24-year-old man was arrested and bailed until January 26 pending further inquiries.
