Five ways to see in New Year’s in Suffolk including in Bury St Edmunds, Ipswich, Lowestoft and Felixstowe
New Year’s Eve is an amazing time of the year, an occasion to join with friends, family, even strangers, and reflect on a year gone by and a year to come.
Some people may opt to see the year out with a wild party, drinks flowing and music plentifully in tow, while others may opt to hear the clock strike in a quieter manner.

Soul by the Sea – Liquid Gold at The Boardwalk Café and Bar, Felixstowe:
The Boardwalk Cafe Bar, in Felixstowe Pier, is hosting a Motown, soul and reggae themed event to see in the new year by the sea.
MJ Soul will be hosting a ‘Soul Seductive’ event and DJ Rossi P will be playing a range of soul classics.
Early bird tickets have already sold out, however some £15 standard tickets remain so get.

New Year’s Eve Party with Indie Killers at Moreton Hall Community Centre, Bury St Edmunds:
The Indie Killers are back in Symonds Road for this New Year’s bonanza, and guests should be ready to expect ‘banger after banger.’
The Community Centre’s doors will open at 7.30pm, with members able to get discounted tickets at £8 for adults and £2.50 for under 16s.
Non-members can purchase adult tickets for £15 and under 16s for £8.

New Year Family Disco at The Hatfield Hotel, Lowestoft:
Kids go free and adults for £10 in this family-friendly event at The Hatfield Hotel in The Esplanade, Lowestoft.
Family games and quizzes will be on offer for guests, as well music from Chica DJ.
Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult, and doors open at 7pm.

Meditate to Midnight at Ipswich Buddhist Centre:
See in the new year in an atmosphere of reflection and contemplation at Ipswich Buddhist Centre, in Friars Road.
Guests are welcome to arrive at 7pm, 8.30pm and 10pm.
There will be readings and guests are invited to share stories, as well as bring nibbles and snacks, however attendees are reminded the venue is alcohol-free.
Booking is not required and whilst guests do not have to pay, they are invited to make a donation to the centre.
NOW! That's What I Call...DRAG! The New Year Bash! at The Hunter Club, Bury St Edmunds:
Get ready to sashay away into 2024 as East Anglia’s wildest drag collective come to Bury to ring in the new year.
Guests can expect some gorgeous drag performances as well as a smattering of camp, comedy and chaos.
A seated event, drag favourites Knuckle Sandwich and Will Power will be on show, as well as some yet-to-be-announced special guests.
Doors open at 8pm and a small number of tickets will be available on the night for £18, with the majority pre-booked.
