Bungay and Lowestoft firefighters help battle garage blaze in Ditchingham near Suffolk Norfolk border





Firefighters have battled a blaze at a garage attached to a property near the Suffolk Norfolk border.

Crews from both counties were called at about 3.25pm to the incident in Longrigg Road, Ditchingham, near Bungay.

Norfolk engines from Loddon, Harleston and Carrow, as well as two from Suffolk – Bungay and Lowestoft – attended.

Crews wore breathing equipment and used main jets and hose reel jets to extinguish the fire.

A thermal imaging camera was used to check for hot spots.

The incident was dealt with by 5.12pm.
