Hundreds of homes on Suffolk coast in Orford area left without electricity after power cut





Hundreds of homes on the Suffolk coast have been left without electricity after a power cut.

UK Power Networks is investigating a high voltage overhead electricity line fault in the Orford area, which has affected 201 properties.

Engineers have arrived on site.

On the company’s website, a spokesman said: “Our staff are checking our equipment throughout the area to pinpoint the issue on our overhead cabling network.

“In addition to this, they are liaising closely with our control room to find safe and reliable ways to divert power around any problems and get everyone restored.”

Power is estimated to be restored between 9.30am to 10.30am.
