Bury St Edmunds incident on Marham Park involving police helicopter and armed officers sees no further action taken against person detained

No further action is to be taken against a person who was detained after the police helicopter and armed officers were called to a domestic-related incident on a town estate.

Police were alerted at just after 11.10am to the incident on Marham Park in Bury St Edmunds yesterday.

Officers searched the area, with assistance from the police helicopter.

A male was found and detained at 1.25pm.

Today, a Suffolk Police spokesman said no further action will be taken against the individual.
