Stowmarket police arrest four men including one with hammer following disturbance

A man in possession of a hammer as well as three other men have been arrested after causing a disturbance in a Suffolk town centre.

The incident took place this evening in Stowmarket and saw a response from officers within the Roads and Armed Policing Team (RAPT) and the Community Policing Team (CPT).

The four men involved tried to flee the scene, however the police were able to locate and arrest them.

They have been taken to custody.
