Woman stabbed on Howard Estate in Bury St Edmunds and man arrested
A man has been arrested after a woman was stabbed in Bury St Edmunds.
Police were called just after 10.25pm yesterday to reports that a woman had been stabbed in St Olaves Road.
The woman, in her 50s, was taken to West Suffolk Hospital for treatment, where her condition is described as stable.
A 58-year-old man from Bury St Edmunds was arrested on suspicion of assault causing grievous bodily harm.
He has been taken to Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre for questioning, where he remains.

The car park at St Olaves shopping precinct was cordoned off as police investigate the incident.
