Bury St Edmunds crash involving car and pedestrians outside Cineworld in Parkway sees woman and child taken to hospital





A woman and a child were taken to hospital after a collision involving a car and pedestrians in Bury St Edmunds.

Police and the ambulance service were alerted to the crash outside Cineworld, in Parkway, at about 5.15pm yesterday.

A police spokesman said the collision involved a car and a couple of pedestrians.

An East of England Ambulance Service spokesperson said they were called at 5.15pm with reports that pedestrians had been hit by a car near Cineworld.

Two ambulances were sent to the scene and transported a woman and child to West Suffolk Hospital for further assessment and treatment, they said.

A police spokesman added that the pedestrians were taken to hospital for a check-up and they were believed to have suffered minor injuries.

The road was clear by 6.10pm.
