Haverhill: Police appeal after man spits at woman who was with her children





Police are appealing for witnesses after a man spat at a woman who was with her children in a Suffolk town.

The incident was on the recreation ground in Camps Road in Haverhill at about 3.30pm on Tuesday, June 20, where the woman was walking along a path between the toilet block and the junction of Recreation Road and Clements Lane, before the man intentionally spat towards her.

According to police, the suspect was described as a skinny white male, between 5ft 9ins and 5t 10ins tall, wearing dark clothing and a baseball cap.

The man then carried on towards the public toilet block after the incident.

Officers ask anyone who witnessed the incident or who has information that could help the investigation, to contact PC Jack Oakley at Haverhill Police, quoting crime reference number 37/35612/23 via the website.
