Man in serious condition in Addenbrooke’s Hospital after crash in Yoxford Road, Middleton
A man in his 50s has suffered serious injuries after his motorbike left the road and crashed into a road sign.
The accident took place at approximately 5.10pm yesterday on the B1122 Yoxford Road, at the junction with Fordley Road, in Middleton – south of Southwold.
The man was riding a black Yamaha FZS, which left the road on the nearside and collided with a chevron road sign.
He was flown by air ambulance to Addenbrooke’s Hospital for treatment.
The road was closed until 9pm to allow for a collision investigation to take place and recovery of the vehicle.
Officers would like to hear from witnesses that they haven’t spoken to already. They are also asking anyone driving in the area immediately before the incident with a dashcam fitted in their vehicle to review the footage for any helpful material.
