Suffolk's most dangerous neighbourhoods revealed, including Ipswich and Bury St Edmunds, according to November 2023 police crime figures
Thousands of crimes are reported to police in Suffolk each month, including anti-social behaviour, burglary and violent offences.
Figures collated by SuffolkNews reveal some of the most dangerous areas in the county, based on the number of crimes reported in the latest month which has data available – November.
Below you can search for your street to find out if Suffolk Police have logged any crimes in your neighbourhood, and we also reveal how many crimes have been reported in some of the county's biggest towns.
In November there were 1,300 crimes reported in Ipswich. The ward of Alexandra totalled the most crimes in the town with 293 crimes, 96 of which were violence and sexual offences.
Alexandra was followed by Westgate and St Margaret’s with 170 reported crimes, Gipping with 117, and Gainsborough and Holywells with 116.
Bury St Edmunds saw a total of 451 crimes recorded - 199 of them in the north of the town, 165 in the south of the town, 68 in the rural north and 18 in the rural south.
Police data shows in November there were 198 crimes reported in Haverhill, 140 reported in Sudbury, 147 in Newmarket and 111 in Felixstowe.
