More heavy rain is expected to hit the county as further weather warnings have been put in place.

The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for rain in Stowmarket, Needham Market, Ipswich, Woodbridge, Southwold and other locations in Suffolk, due to Storm Henk.

The warning will be in place from 12pm on Thursday (tomorrow) to 3am on Friday.

The authority has warned that another spell of rain onto saturated ground may cause further flooding and more travel disruptions.

There is a small chance of power cuts for homes and businesses in the impacted area and a small chance that communities could be cut off by flooded roads.

Hundreds of homes across Suffolk have been left without power as strong winds have caused trees to fall onto power cables.

The next weather warning comes after yesterday’s amber warning for wind and yellow alert for rain as Storm Henk swept through Suffolk.
