Ipswich woman appears on first episode of the re-booted Gladiators on BBC One
A woman from Ipswich appeared on the first episode of an infamous TV competition show.
Natasha Lawrence, 41, braved the show Gladiators which has been rebooted on BBC One.
Tasha, a staff nurse in a school nursing team and a part-time personal trainer, was competing against Kerry Wilson.
The show sees Contenders battle their way for a place in the quarter finals but super-strong Gladiators are tasked to get in their way.
When asked what her game plan is, Tasha said: “Mindset, focus, you’ve got to be in it to win it, right?”
In the first challenge, Duel, Tasha took on Diamond – a 6ft footballer turned bodybuilder.
Other challenges included Collision – a giant suspension bridge where Gladiators are trying to knock Contenders off, the Ring, the Gauntlet and the final elimination challenge.
In the Eliminator, a head-to-head race across an obstacle course, Tasha lost against Kerry for a place in the quarter-final.
However, she still finished the Eliminator and the fastest runner-up in the show could land a place in the final.
At the end of the show, Tasha said: “Really, really proud of myself.”
