A spokesperson from Greene King said: “Despite the heavy rain, deliveries to our customers are unaffected. We are having to be a bit more flexible in our draught beer operations whilst we wait for the flood water to subside.

“Our team members are using an alternative route to the staff car park, which is used on the rare occasion the access road floods.”

Nowton Road was also flooded this morning. Two cars became stranded in the flood water, needing recovery.
