Stowmarket Food and Drink Festival hailed a ‘success’ as thousands attend





A festival celebrating locally-sourced produce attracted thousands of people to try a range of cuisines.

The annual Stowmarket Food and Drink Festival returned yesterday to offer all types of food and drink from burgers, paella and burritos to brownies and other sweet treats.

Popular food and drink stalls included Peck, Bakeaholics, Alder Tree Ice Cream, Phat Khao, Little Pig Bakery, Humber Doucy, Heart of Suffolk Distillery and Pallet Bar.

On Twitter, a Stowmarket Town Council spokesperson said: “What a fantastic day, we hope you enjoyed it.

“Thank you to everyone who attended and helped make the event a success.”

The town council are asking for festival attendees to give their feedback by filling out a short survey which can be found here.

The event saw professional chefs deliver cooking demonstrations from the Food Museum’s Kitchen Theatre - including Masterchef star Adam Spicer

The museum also hosted a free pottery workshop for children and concluded its 26th Festival of Beer and Brewing.
