A11 reopens in Elveden near Thetford and Mildenhall after loose reindeer cause severe traffic delays





A key route has reopened in Suffolk after loose reindeer caused severe traffic delays.

Police were called at about 2.30pm today to reports of two loose reindeer on the A11 in Elveden, near Thetford, between the A1134 and the A1101.

A spokesperson for Elveden Estate Shops and Restaurant, said they were working with police to try and bring their reindeer back.

A tweet from National Highways: East, said: “Suffolk Police have removed their closures and traffic is being released.

“It will take time to get moving if you're further back but traffic has been released.

“Thanks for your patience.”
