Ipswich CodFellas named the best place in the country for fish and chips

A Suffolk fish and chip shop has been named the best in the country.

In research compiled by Parkdean Resorts, Ipswich CodFellas, in Greenfinch Avenue, has named among the places for a chippy tea in the UK.

Researches ranked a number of factors, such as cost, portion size and TripAdvisor reviews, to help decide where served the most mouth-watering fish and chips.

Data was also collected on the average price and portion size of cod and haddock.

Ipswich CodFellas recorded an astounding 98 per cent of 'excellent' reviews on TripAdvisor, beating Leeds restaurant LS6 Dutch Fries to top spot.

Oakdale Chippy Bakersfield in Nottingham ranked third, while another Leeds-based restaurant, Original Fisheries, finished fourth.
