Matthew Smith, 29, serving five-year sentence at Hollesley Bay, near Woodbridge, for robbery absconds

A man serving a five year sentence for robbery has absconded from prison.

Matthew Smith, 29, previously from the Worcestershire area, was reported missing to police at 6.30pm yesterday (January 9).

He is serving his sentence at Hollesley Bay, near Woodbridge.

Smith is described as five feet, ten inches tall, with brown hair and eyes, and of a stocky build.

Anyone who has seen Smith, a man matching his description or knows of his whereabouts should contact Suffolk Police on 101, quoting CAD 312 of January 9.
