The picturesque village of Rattlesden will be looking even more attractive next spring when a thousand new daffodils bloom along the River Rat.

Members of our club planted the bulbs in a number of areas along the river in order to help the ongoing conservation work being undertaken by the River Rat Volunteers to cut back vegetation and clear the course of the river as it passes through the village.

"We are very grateful for the contribution made by the Rotary Club, both in terms of supplying the bulbs and helping to plant them all," said Chard Wadley, leader of the volunteer group.
